Welcome to Pure Images

I’m Rachel, a self-taught freelance photographer based in Devon, UK, with a passion for nature and wildlife.

Photography has always been an important part of my life — it takes me to a place where time slows down and calm replaces the chaos of everyday life. Living between the stunning landscapes of Dartmoor and the dramatic North Devon coastline, I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery. It’s the perfect place to capture the region’s diverse wildlife and breathtaking views.

With a background in environmental protection, and as a proud member of Nature First, I’m committed to photographing responsibly — ensuring that the places I explore remain undisturbed for the wildlife that live there and safe for future generations to enjoy.

As a nature photographer, my aim is to produce images of our natural world in ways that you may not have seen them before. I have a particular love for macro photography where through a macro lens we can explore the tiny world not visible to the naked eye and experience the beauty and fragility of nature from a new perspective. 

In 2023, I launched Pure Images to share this passion — to inspire others to appreciate and care for wildlife, and to bring the magic of the natural world into your home.
